With the rumors of a Bourne 4 and me trying to get all my sites fully capped, i have a special surprise for everyone. Im not sure about any of the major details yet, but i would say it is pretty officialish.
“300″ star Gerard Butler is set to play the Scottish poet Robert Burns in an upcoming biopic. He will be starring alongside Julia Stiles in the Vadim Jean directed film.According to The Times, the movie has been given a budget of 5 million pounds, or approximately million. The project has been given a go after a government-backed campaign was able to raise funds.
The film will detail the poet’s love affairs with his wife Jean Armour and society hostess Agnes “Clarinda” McLehose.
Butler, who was born in Glasgow, admits he is delighted to play the part of his country’s national figure.
He has been quoted by the Daily Express as saying, “In a way but I feel so lucky to have that opportunity because it’s such a great story. I cajoled Julia Stiles into doing it but she told me it was the best script she’d read in years so she’s on board.”
“We cover Burns’ life from the ploughman days to the Edinburgh society days and his take-off as a poet. It’s beautiful, it’s passionate, it’s sexy, it’s hilarious and it’s really quite sad as well.”
Last night, i watched and screencapped, 10 things I hate about You. Man, i nearly cried at the end, i didnt realise half the things happened in that film. I’m currently uploading all the screencaps, i may have missed some, as i was doing it manually and i was kind of engrossed.
